Choose the maintenance routine you will follow

Affresh’s useful distinction is the documented choice of running it with or without compatible dishes. That can make maintenance easier to fit around the household routine, but the placement instructions differ. Read the six-tablet pack directions for the selected method instead of treating every dishwasher-cleaning tablet as interchangeable.

When a cleaner is the wrong next purchase

A cleaner addresses deposits; it does not remove trapped food from a filter or resolve a drainage fault. Inspect the accessible areas described in your appliance manual before repeatedly adding cleaner to a machine with a persistent smell.

Finish’s liquid bottle is a useful alternative if you prefer a dedicated empty hot cycle. Affresh’s flexibility may be more valuable if you want the option to combine maintenance with a compatible load. Neither the packaging format nor endorsements by related Whirlpool-owned brands establish superior results in independent testing.

Compare before you choose

Affresh offers documented with-dishes and empty-machine methods; Finish’s liquid cleaner requires a dedicated empty hot cycle.
