Condensation drying
GE describes condensation drying as using the temperature difference between the hot load and cooler tub walls. Rinse aid supports drainage and drying. A clean dish can still retain water in a recessed base or on a plastic surface.
This approach may suit a household that unloads later and mainly washes ceramics, glass and metal. It is less appealing if you expect every lightweight container to be ready immediately.
Automatic door opening
Bosch AutoAir releases the door during drying. The practical question is whether that opening works with your kitchen layout. Check the manufacturer’s clearance and cabinet-protection instructions, especially in a tight walkway.
Automatic opening is a defined feature, not a suggestion to interrupt any dishwasher program manually. A machine without that feature can have different instructions and drying behaviour.
Added heat, airflow and mineral systems
GE Dry Boost uses a model-dependent combination of heat, time and, on some models, fan assistance. Bosch CrystalDry is a different drying system used on selected models. Compare the exact appliance rather than transferring a brand’s premium feature to its entry range.
Stronger-drying marketing claims use particular comparison conditions. We treat them as manufacturer claims and look for attributed independent tests where available. No system makes poor loading or pooled water disappear automatically.
Improve the current machine first
Use the recommended rinse aid setting, angle items so their bases drain and keep pieces separated. Select the intended drying option and allow the program to finish. If the change is sudden rather than a long-standing characteristic, consult the troubleshooting guide before assuming a replacement is necessary.
