A targeted option, not a universal winner
Finish lists Hard Water Quantum as a dedicated formulation in its US range. It is a sensible product to compare when hardness is documented, but the name alone is not evidence that it outperforms every alternative in your machine. Compare a small quantity under a consistent cycle and load.
An adjustable-dose powder can also be useful when the appliance and detergent directions specify different doses for different conditions. Do not simply double the detergent: use the recommended range and avoid changing several variables at once.
Match the solution to the symptom
Spots left after droplets dry may improve with rinse-aid adjustment. Deposits inside the machine may need a compatible descaling treatment. Food left on plates calls for loading, filter, spray-arm and cycle checks. Permanent glass etching is not removable mineral residue.
If your dishwasher has an integrated softener, make sure it is set for the incoming water and has the specified salt. A household softener can change what reaches the machine, so the municipal hardness figure may not describe the water at the inlet.
A useful home comparison
Choose a typical load and photograph the same problem glass after each trial. Keep the drying option and rinse-aid setting unchanged while changing only the detergent. Note the dose and whether the load includes badly dried food. These observations help you choose a product for your conditions; they are not a controlled published product test.
Once you find a combination that works, continue routine filter care. A hard-water label is not permission to neglect the machine or mix detergent with unrelated cleaners.
