Bosch Dishwasher Salt 00469559 SGZ9091UC Review

The E-Nr is the useful starting point

Bosch models differ in whether they have an integrated softener. Check the complete E-Nr and Bosch’s compatibility information before purchasing salt; owning a Bosch does not by itself mean this accessory is needed. Without the appropriate reservoir, salt is not a substitute for choosing a suitable detergent or checking water hardness.

Packaging is not the only identifier

The accessory is identified by 00469559 and SGZ9091UC, and the Bosch-listed item may arrive in Finish-branded packaging. Match those identifiers and the supplier description rather than relying on the front-of-pack logo alone. Follow the appliance’s refill procedure and avoid substituting ordinary table salt.

Miele’s extra-coarse salt is a comparison for understanding the product category, not an automatic replacement recommendation for a Bosch. The deciding evidence is compatibility with your machine, not an unsupported claim that one brand of salt cleans dishes better.

Compare before you choose

Match the approved consumable to the appliance’s salt-fed system; neither product is useful in a machine without that system.
